I feel like China is invading people’s privacy at times, but I don’t think this is. Although they are retaining more and more information, this is really important to everyone on earth because the Coronavirus is spreading really quickly.

The Chinese Government is taking really quick and drastic actions about this virus, after the SARS outbreak. They’re trying to contain this virus as close as possible, like building a hospital within a week.

This could affect my life or society by…

This is really important because so far, the coronavirus isn’t really having an outbreak in Canada yet, as only a few people are infected in BC only. If China continues to contain this virus as good as they can with their technological advances, this would benefit a lot of countries with a lot of Chinese people, like Canada. The coronavirus wouldn’t be a big problem for us if they tried really hard to contain and try and track down who could possibly have it.

I am concerned that…

After the coronavirus, the Chinese government can use this information for something else, or use their technological advances to invade more privacy to their citizens. This would be a win win situation for the Chinese government because they can find out how to get more personal information from their citizens, while being discreet about it during the coronavirus outbreak.
